Annual General Meeting to elect a new committee for 2013-2014
The Association of Zgharta (YBKBL) Australia is holding its annual general meeting to elect a new executive committee for 2013-2014 on Sunday 26/5/13 at 7.00pm at Zgharta House.

Recognition for University Graduates
The Association of Zgharta (YBKBL) Australia will honour all of the University Graduates from the Zgharta Community who have graduated during 2011, 2012 and will graduate in 2013. The association invites all of the Zgharta graduates to call and register their names for the ceremony which will be held at the Zgharta House at a date to be announced soon. NSW Community Grant
It is with great pleasure that we advise our community that through the help of Granville MP Tony Issa, the Association of Zgharta has secured, and in a first for the association, a NSW Government grant of $15,000 for the Zgharta House Renovation.
The Association of Zgharta (YBKBL) Australia extends sincere thanks and expresses genuine gratitude to MP Issa for his tremendous support and guidance on the matter.
انه لمن دواعي سرورنا ان نعلن لجاليتنا الكريمة انه وبمساعدة نائب منطقة غرانفيل السيد طوني عيسى قد حصلت جمعية بطل لبنان الزغرتاوية ولأول مرة في مسيرتها على منحة حكومية من الولاية بقيمة 15 الف دولار للبيت الزغرتاوي.

Virgin Mary Statue Visit to Zgharta House 5 May 2013 3.00pm
The Blessed Virgin Mary Statue is due to visit the Zgharta House on Sunday 5 May 2013 at 3.00pm. It is both an honour and a blessing to meet the statue of our Lady at your own community house where we can all join prayers for the protection of our families.

Poet Asaad Makary

The Association of Zgharta (YBKBL) Australia held a very successful family evening-BBQ to open the new section in the Zgharta House, Sydney. In attendance were Granville MP Tony Issa, Star singer Elissar Finianos, Lebanese Police Colonel Ronni Bitar Ghanem, Lieutenant Gerard Rehban and Poet Assad Makary.
The Association of Zgharta (YBKBL) Australia hosted dinner in honour of the visiting Lebanese Police delegation at Port Bar Restaurant, Parramatta, in the presence of Consul General of Lebanon George Bitar Ghanem and his mother Mrs Claude Thabet. The delegation consists of Colonel Roni Bitar Ghanem, Captain Mohamed Kamara, Cpatin Ziad Jamal and Lieutenant Gerard Rouhban.
The Association of Zgharta (YBKBL) Australia organised the "Ehden, history & People" Lecture at Zgharta House, Guildford Sydney.
In attendance were numerous community members.
Speakers included Rev Fr Sleiman Yammine who spoke about Ehden's Churches. Rev Fr Yuhanna Azizi who spoke about the Venerable Patriarch Estephan Doueihi and Sarkis Karan who spoke about the political history of Ehden-Zgharta.
