 Association of Zgharta (Youssef Bey Karam Batal Lebnan)
The Association was unofficially formed in 1951 by Mr Semaan Mikhail Bou-Semaan Mowad known as (Simon Symond).

During this period, the Association held many functions such as barbecues and picnics and played a big part in helping new arrivals from Zgharta settle into their new life in Australia.

In 1962, a meeting was organised to form a new official Association. In this meeting there was a majority vote to retain the original name of The Association Of Zgharta (Youssef Bey Karam Batal Lebnan) and the first President was Mr Mohssen Boulos Doueihi.
